About

My name is Tyler McCall and I am a college student in North Carolina. I love people, learning about other cultures, Jesus, traveling, hanging out in coffee shops, pretending I can keep a Blog, painting, drawing, reading, and trying to change the world around me. I hope you enjoy my Blog!

Well, Tomorrow is the Day

Tomorrow at 10 AM I will begin my sophomore year. Isn't that hard to believe? Well, at least I think it is. The past few days have been completely crazy. Last Wednesday we started our training for Big Brother/Big Sister...I also got really bad news last Wednesday. For those of you who don't know, my aunt passed away last week. Talk about being pretty down and depressed for the last week or so. Orientation started on Friday and we "worked the corner" as we yelled and waved signs at the incoming Freshman. Then more orientation stuff on Saturday...the fun night and first worship service of the year. And then Sunday morning we had the GWU Family Worship service and I went home. We had visitation on Sunday night and the funeral yesterday afternoon. Then it was back to GWU...and now here I am. I can't believe the last week has just flown by and now we are getting ready to start classes!

So, let me just say that I am so excited about this incoming class of Freshman. First of all, they are the first group of Freshman that are coming in with me not being a Freshman. I got to be a Big Sibling which was totally amazing. Also, I have met so many of these students who genuinely love the Lord and are really on fire for Him. It's so exciting to see Freshman who want to be involved in CMU and want to live for God and being about change on our campus. Wow...what a group of students. I am so pumped about living on L3 and the guys that are living up here. I think it is a perfect group...we can grow with one another and we have guys that we can reach out to. We're not all the same and we all bring different things to the table which is very exciting.

It's been really good to see people and hug necks of those who have been gone all summer. It's so nice for people to be back at GWU...well, I really don't know what else to write. I'll write more throughout the semester.
